We love providing clients with unique travel experiences, especially stays on private islands. Some of the islands we represent don’t allow public marketing in order to protect these slices of untouched paradise!
Here is a list of our five favorite private islands ordered from least expensive to most expensive. All our private islands are fully staffed with chef, housekeeping, and concierge. As you move up in price point, there are even more services, amenities, and accommodations for larger groups.
#5 Gladden: Private Island in Belize
This is a small private island at an affordable price point. Rates are $4,000 per night for one couple and $5,000 per night for two couples. The unique surf and turf package allows you to split a week between the island and the jungle. After a few days diving and snorkeling the barrier reef, a 30-minute helicopter ride transports you to the ultimate jungle hideaway: a 5,000-square-foot timber and stone house. From here, there is easy access to the richness of Belize’s mainland activities—ancient Mayan ruins, treetop zip lines, cave tubing.
#4 L’ Hacienda: Private Island in The Bahamas
This is a new private island located in The Bahamas near Exuma. There are six gorgeous beaches, a marina, infinity pool and Spanish style villas. The full house rate (up to 16 guests in 8 bedrooms) is $38,000 per night.
#3 Over Yonder Cay: Private Island in The Bahamas
A former remote fishing outpost in Exuma, the island has been transformed into a unique eco-friendly haven for those seeking authentic and sustainable barefoot luxury. Parties of up to 30 guests are accommodated in four uniquely designed villas, all with private beaches and breathtaking views. The rate is $85,000 per night and includes full use of the island’s extensive amenities such as tennis court, nine hole par-3 golf course, and beach club area.
#2: Necker Island: Private Island in British Virgin Islands
Richard Branson’s famous 74-acre island in North Sound underwent a full renovation in 2017 after Hurricane Maria. It can sleep 40 people and runs for $134,500 per night.
There’s an incredible amount to see and do both on and off the island. Explore the hiking trails by foot, take to the waters on a paddleboard, relax in the hands of spa therapists, make friends with the local wildlife, or discover the tranquil beaches.
#1: COMO Laucala Island, Fiji
This island sleeps 70 people and goes for $231,000 per night. Since it is so close to Australia (3 hour flight), this would be an incredible choice for a destination wedding or corporate retreat. This is the nicest, most unique private island we have seen at Blue Sky Luxury Travels. It is fully self-contained with its own livestock, fruits and vegetables, tennis, golf course, and medical—this island has it all! You can understand how over the top special this place is, since it once belonged to the owner of Redbull.
