Chartering a luxury yacht in the Virgin Islands is often the highlight of our guests’ trips! You can sail in the waters around St. John or St. Thomas. Some guests love the day charter so much they choose to spend two days to see both islands!

CUSTOM ITINERARY

The expert crew and captain will be sure to show you the best spots and curate an itinerary specific for your party. It can focus on beach hopping, bar hopping, or snorkel spot hopping! It’s best to plan with your captain the morning of to ensure you are making the best decisions for the current weather conditions.

Here is a sample of our favorite options for a St. Thomas/St. John private full day yacht charter.

SALT POND BEACH

First stop: Salt Pond Beach. Head here first to beat the other charters that typically end their day here. For advanced snorkelers, there are two reef areas to explore. Turtles are often spotted, and if you’re lucky, the occasional octopus. Or, simply lounge with a beer and your beach chair!

There is also a hike—Ram Head Trail—that begins at Salt Pond Beach and offers one of the best views on the island! We recommend coming back by car to hit this one.

CONGO, LOVANGO, MINGO

Something magical happens to the water around this island chain of Congo, Lovango, and Mingo. Cruise around the islands and admire the stunning blue from boat!

LUNCH ON LOVANGO

Stop on the private island Lovango for lunch! The waterfront dining features creative coastal cuisine with a beautiful view. After lunch, stroll downtown to browse Lovango’s boutiques and shops. The Green Oyster Bar offers cocktails and oysters for an after lunch snack.

LUNCH AT ZOZO’S CANEEL BAY

Another option we love for lunch is ZoZo’s at Caneel Bay—food, service, and the view are unbeatable. After lunch, pop into ZoZo’s waterfront boutique to check out work by local artisans.

TRAVEL UP THE NORTH SHORE

From Salt Pond, cruise north along the coast of St. John. You can stop at Hawksnest, Trunk, Cinnamon, and/or Maho Bay. Your captain will take you to the best stops for drinks, beach lounging, snorkeling, etc.

Finally, reach Leinster Bay: a remote location that ranks number one for snorkeling on St. John. There are two great spots—one around the cay and another closer to shore. Moor here to swim among green sea turtles, rays, conch, starfish, and a variety of fish and corals.

PADDLEBOARDING

From Salt Pond, cruise north along the coast of St. John. You can stop at Hawksnest, Trunk, Cinnamon, and/or Maho Bay. Your captain will take you to the best stoBoth Honeymoon Beach and Maho Bay offer paddleboard rentals. The calm water is perfect for beginners, and you can often spot turtles and stingrays as you paddle.

CRUISE BACK

After a full day on the water, you will return to the National Park Dock. If there is extra time, the captain will cruise around the USVI to give you a final tour of the islands by boat.
